The
Law of Dharma or Religion
The Law of Dharma or Religion is one of the most unique and
simplest laws in the universe. It basically means to know
the true nature of Nature, the meaning behind our existence,
the real purpose of our life, and an in-depth knowledge of
our inner self.
Dharma or Religion is a rule, but not
the kind of rule or rules which we normally see being applied
by every religion now-a-days. It does not mean that if we
are a Christian, we have to abide by a certain set of rules,
or a Muslim, Hindu, Jew, Sikh etc., by another set of rules.
It does not try to bind us and restrict our vision by any
kind of rules, rather the rule here is to keep an open mind,
to be willing to learn at all times, and to broaden our vision
to go beyond the horizons of Mankind. This is the one simple
rule of The Law of Dharma or Religion, which is the Rule of
Nature, as created by our Creator.
Have you ever noticed that everything
in Nature moves according to a fixed pattern, like we have
summer, winter, autumn and spring. At the beginning of creation
each season arrived at a fixed time, for a fixed duration,
at a fixed pace. However, today due to Mankinds brutal
actions and gross violations of the Laws of Nature, the weather
patterns have been drastically changing around the globe.
We have been destroying slowly but surely our own nature,
we have moved away from the basics, by placing our dependence
on un-natural ways of living, falling at a nerve-ending speed
into the world of materialism.
The Law of Dharma or Religion is to
understand our true self, our unique talents, our real nature,
and to apply them with total dedication to love and serve
each other. Like Jesus said, Love your neighbor as you
would love yourself. In todays practical world,
to love your neighbor is a distant dream, as we do not even
have enough time to love ourselves or our family. We are so
deeply engrossed into the material aspects of life that there
is not even sufficient time, to find time, to look after our
own health or family. Some-one has rightly said that a healthy
mind, heart and soul can only reside in a healthy body and
a healthy home.
So the first step to understand the
Law of Dharma or Religion is to begin taking care of our health
and home. Once this is achieved, we will begin to appreciate
all the good things in life, and the fact is, there is more
goodness around than we can ever imagine. We have to look
around with a healthy attitude, and once we do that, Gods
amazing wonders will begin to un-fold. To be able to see and
enjoy these wonders is to understand the true nature of God.
This in essence is the Law of Dharma or Religion, to understand
the true nature of Nature, the meaning behind our existence,
the real purpose of our life, and an in-depth knowledge of
our inner self.
Once we are able to truly understand
all this, well understand God, as Nature and God are
two different names of the One and only. The Law of Dharma
or Religion is to grasp this simple fact of life. If today
Mankind is drifting away from Nature, in simple words what
does it mean? Are we drifting away from Nature or God?
