Forgiveness
Forgiveness
is in fact our biggest virtue and greatest asset that leads
to not only happiness and bliss, but also to success of the
highest order in every area of our life. The truth is, if
we succeed with relationships we will succeed with everything
else. This is why spiritual masters of all religions laid
great emphasis on forgiveness.
Buddha repeated
these words to his disciples again and again: Whosoever may
be the cause of your suffering, do not hurt or cause any damage
to any one, forgive them. Jesus repeated this reality to his
followers: Man should be forgiving, as he forgives his fellow
beings, so God will forgive him. Muhammed re-emphasized this
truth when he said: God loves those who forgive their fellow
beings. Guru Nanak, the most recent spiritual master who visited
earth about 500 years ago, went a step further when he said:
Countless people have perished without the spirit of forgiveness.
Remove hatred from your mind, the whole world is your friend.
Then he added these words which he repeated time and time
again during his journey: Sikho, sikho, sikho, which means
learn, learn and learn. In fact the Sikh religion originates
from this word Sikho. A true Sikh is a learner for life, ready
to keep an open mind and learn at all times, from the time
of birth until the last day on earth.
True learning
begins from learning the meaning of forgiveness, first forgiving
yourself by realizing your mistakes and then forgiving others
for their mistakes. So please do sow the first seed of forgiveness
today and begin your journey into the land of joy, peace,
good health, success and eternal bliss. Heaven is right here,
within you, but to enter this beautiful domain, you have to
forgive.
