Greed

 Greed is the weapon, the weed

Which makes Humanity bleed!

The story of that man

Who had this little hen

Which laid a golden egg

Every morning, at the strike of ten!

Greed came with such a passion

He forgot the age-old lesson!

To get all the eggs in one go

He stumbled and fell

Into the river of greed

Volcano of Hell!

Greed took away his livelihood

His daily ration, his piece of bread!

This is the story of Mankind

No matter what we have

We are never satisfied, never content!

Instead of enjoying our journey

On this planet Earth

We run behind illusions

Which are not a penny worth!

The truth of life is to live with contentment

Greed takes away happiness and brings in resentment

The story of that man

Who had this little hen

Greed was the weapon and will always be the weed

Which makes Humanity bleed!
