Addiction

Addiction is a curse
Plays havoc with the body
And empties your purse!
It is a kind of disease
No doctor has a cure
As the willpower is weakened
Mind goes out of control!

Once you get addicted
To any particular vice
The choices become limited
As you cannot differentiate
Between day and night
The inner monster takes over
Destroys the ability, to respond or fight!

It is possible to regain control
Of the body thru mind and soul
The only prescription
Is a strong conviction, that
Addiction is a curse
Plays havoc with the body
And empties your purse!
