You split my heart open
like no one else does
You divide it into two halves
for one desires you completely
The other fears your demise while you are still around.

Your eyes pierce ‘into my soul’
bringing to the surface the ‘true me’
Every corner of my heart is awakened by being lost in your company.

It seems I have known you forever
You were always there for me
Brazenly, it was I, who belonged to the others.

Today, when no one is around and in life’s uncertainties we are bound
You once again have come to my rescue, to salvage me to eternity
Although, I have ignored you eternally, this time I promise I won’t rebound.

Well, I should have known that from the beginning
‘ I am You’
and
‘You are Me ’
Oh, my Solitude! You are my ‘sacred space’, to you I bow,
Lo! What solace in you I have found!
