"The Power of Silence"

From the silences of my own being
And the silences of the world,
I draw forth the silences of my writings
To create the shining silence of God's Word.

It is good to be alone - beyond the chattering,
Chattering crowd - and simply glide softly
In the immense silence of space unfolding
Its secrets to the quiet radiance of infinity.

Silence is the wisdom of the soul distilled
Beyond thoughts and feelings yet filled
With sacred meanings like aged wine
Before the banquet of the Divine.

I shall partake of the Living Bread, and listen
To the wordless Voice of God within
So that I may grow wiser and humbler,
And be a light unto others… forever!

I shall be like the tree of life
To give shade and even fruits
To others, and provide the ripe
Sustenance to others in spiritual pursuits.

In the inner tabernacle of my soul,
Pure love shall flourish and radiate
To make me and others divinely whole -
Here, in this holy tryst, man and God shall meet.
