New Year Resolutions

Why they do not work?

People around the world make New Year Resolutions,
But a rare few succeed.
Year after year you repeat them,
But the results are more or less the same.
Why they do not work?
Because you wait for 12 months to make one,
Then you work upon it for a month or two and then give up.
The year drags on in failure,
If a single resolution could not be implemented,
And you were unable to change yourself,
Do you really think success will just float your way?
If you want to make your resolutions work,
Got to change the way you think.
Don't wait for New Year to come,
Let each day be like New Year's Day.
Make one major resolution today,
Check your progress at the end of the day.
Make another resolution tomorrow,
To do better than yesterday.
Continue this process day after day,
And success after success will come your way.
